Laminectomy discectomy 2 weeks post op visit

I don't do KZbin Videos, but I want to encourage people that need a Laminectomy to get it done! I had mine 6 weeks ago and watched all the You Tube I could find before the surgery. Laminectomy only, I wish I had it done years ago when my surgeon first suggested. No pain, quickly recovering lost mobility (Hope the delay did not cause permanent loss) and very happy. Don't Delay!

I feel the same. Had surgery yesterday. Feeling some sciatic pain in my right leg some as I did before surgery tho. Hopefully it’ll pass

It took almost a year to reach my final recovery point. So don't get discouraged it takes time for nerves to heal. @@risingspirit1983

Had microdiscectomy 5 weeks ago.Have numbness in right butt check and right foot.Apparently this is the norm?.Also hip pain that started this whole predicament is now there 24/7 .Had an xray before I was told about needing microdisectomy, and I do have a cam defect in my right hip (FAI).Sounds a lot like you.Get your hip checked out if still painful.I may require a hip arthroscopy to fix.Surfing has been a big struggle lately.Not having much luck with pain relief either.

I had one :) My hip was good. This was the first thing they looked at before my back.

Hi Julian I am experiencing similar symptoms numb butt cheek and foot with some weakness. I am 1 week post op. I would be interested to know if your symptoms have improved?

@@iuddin4140 Yeah symptoms have improved greatly.Still have slight numbness in butt check and around toes.This is only due to nerves healing.I'm 4 months post op .Don't expect it too happen overnight.Hopes all good

How's it all feeling now?Sorry for late reply ,I'm in Australia.Just woke up.Heading for a surf,which could be quite painful and embarrassing and cold.Noticed cold weather doesn't help either. Cheers and all the best.
