Story 1: NTA, the husband sounds like my IPad kid cousins what are in elementary school. Story 2: NTA, being sick isn’t an excuse to get everything you want (I say this as some who was very chronically ill in my childhood). I would say that OP could offer to help the niece get higher level, but OP is already handling it well

Story 2you are not the a hole at all! You are a grown woman who likes to play with her games she is a girl in the hospital who needs a little bit of positivity her life I get that. But she should know that in this life you’re not gonna get everything that you want and that she should be grateful for the stuff that you’ve already given her you have to give her anything! I just gotta say, on story 2 yes the niece is entitled. But whos fault is it that she became entitled? The parents probably spoil her just because she's sick and in the hospital, and as someone who has been in this situation (i was in and out of hospitals growing up) i can understand spoiling her a little, i can understand how lonely it gets being stuck within a hospital. That's what my parents did for me. But they didn't over do it, on some occasions they would get me something small that i want. But it wasn't every single time, the parents are just raising their kid to be entitled just because she was in the hospital. There setting her up for failure with making her feel entitled to everything, she needs to be humbled and the parents clearly aren't going to do that

1. Nta. He seems insufferable. 2. Nta. You were being very generous. Her parents sound awful. 3. Fuck cheaters man. Mil seems amazing. Oh fuck the mistress too 4. The part about "the voices" makes it seem like she was very very very mentally ill. That doesnt excuse attempted murder though.
