The red R34 deserved WAY better to be there than the boring black one. The reference for the 80s car on the color, the details, everything was lost on that chase model. I get it people love to love something that not a lot of people have but that one is just unfair to the FANTASTIC job they did on the red one.

Wow thought Pagani Zonda R mainline and Lamborghini Essenza both should be in this tournament too. Love the RLC Honda S2000 Gold Honda Civic EK9, Super Foxbody Mustang and flat black mainline Porsche 911 too.

This sums up the past two years of collecting in Ontario, Canada perfectly! Sixteen cars that I stand no chance of seeing let alone collecting. I have almost given up collecting after 50+ years not by choice but by force, I have no idea what The Mattel concept is that I will not pass to my grandsons phenomenal castings with no stock. In case your wondering Scalpers are not an option.

I personally would omit RLC or convention models and limit it to mainlines and premium/Car Culture. More obtainable for the Average Joe collector.

The Nissan Maxima is the best mainline of the year imo. The red 20223 is even better. Close second is the Volvo Drift Wagon. As for premium that Cobra R in Teal is great but impossible to get which hurts it imo.

So many good models I honestly can't pick. Both Mercedes models are just bonkers awesome, I always love HW Mercs. Really love the fox body and the Sentra SER. I grew up wanting one of those for most of my young adulthood but they never sold them in Canada. It looks amazing. I only want that one from the diorama...

I like The Lb Super Silhouette, but I prefer that black/gold one from the Q and A case. NFT Gasser rocks. Love the color on that Ford Mustang Cobra R. Love the Australian Muscle Car.. That is my favorite just because it is a new Muscle car. It's between that one and the Mustang Cobra for me.

What's funny is JDM cars are peg warmers here, I saw so many of the mountain drifters just sitting on pegs, there was even an EK9 just sitting on the peg at Walmart for a week or so

How is the Lamborghini SCV12 not on this list. The model captures the real thing really well and the paint is astonishing. The SCV12 is also a more significant car than a one off LBWK. I think Lamborghinis are a bit brash and not what I would choose but the model is a highlight. I bought the LBWK GTR, Merc DTM as well and the GTR is a cooler car but if I were to put something in a box for 50 yrs time it would be the Lambo

I would love to see some form of law or approach that limits or discourages scalping. That goes for concert tickets and popular items. These people add zero value to society. They just make it harder for the everyday person to get things at reasonable prices.

I’d wish you’d not include cars that haven’t widely hit the pegs in these polls. Like the Nismo GTR with matchbox last year, I think it just throws off the polls because people haven’t gotten their hands on them yet so naturally they’re more curious. This, I feel like the cars have an unfair advantage. Overall though this is great!

The Mercedes-Benz D2 would be the best of that lot except for how I never saw it in stores. I never saw the other D2 either. The Pininfarina may be my favourite of the new-ish models that got a mainline release just because it's the closest thing to a Ferrari we've seen as a Hot Wheels since 2014 (well, into 2015 since Mattel could still sell Ferraris made in 2014) due to the majority of Ferraris being Pininfarina designs anyway. Minority opinion, but I'm just not a fan of that Nissan Maxima drift wagon casting. I'd prefer to see a Maxima wagon done stock.

Not a single car culture car apart FROM the black R34 drift chase the rest where boulevard diorama set the rest where impossible for me to get I live in the uk it's so hard to get boulevard set unless you buy the car's separate so a full set would cost you £120 pounds scalpers are rife in the uk ,the BMW diorama set £25 in Smyths eBay £50-£60, diorama exotics £20 Smyths eBay £40-£50. So disappointed with lambly

Easy, out of the cars you displayed, the 455SS. 13 imports and only 3 domestic? The '93 Mustang wasn't a popular car when it came out and isn't any better now as a HW. Might be the worst Mustang ever made! Gotta do better on the mix. Probably time for "Best of Imports" and best Domestic! If this is the "Best of" 2022, it was a pretty bad year, IMHO...:)

I am just not getting the praise for the DTM Mercedes. The metal casting and wrap are fine, nothing breathtaking. The rear spoiler is downright clunky and appears to be part of the interior piece which makes it look cheap and cheese. The JDM cars at the beginning are just boring.
