These are excellent sets from Auto World, even though they're still 2022 releases. Like the '70 Impalas, the '74 Challengers, the Shelby GT-500s and the new Dodge Conquest (essentially a Mitsubishi Starion with different branding). Looking forward to the Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 and Starion as well, nicely done. Auto World is on fire, that's for sure! Thanks for the preview Lamley.

I am pretty sure that the last factory car to carry the logo was the 1984 Hurst Oldsmobile which was built on the Cutlass Supreme. I owned one with T tops and it was a head turner.

This was pretty cool tbh. My favorite part was 11:20 I just absolutely love Mitsubishi Motors, especially the Evolution, Spider and the 3000GT VR4 turbo

I love how the yellow 3000GT is basically a dead ringer of the yellow Mitsubishi GTO LM from Gran Turismo 1!

I recall a side by side done by Dodge and people were asked to pick the one that had a better quality, which people picked the Mistubishi. They then took the people into the factory to show them the cars coming off the same assembly line. The only difference being the badging. The people were shocked to see Dodge building both of the cars.

The Stealth base had a weaker engine than the base and SL models of the Mitsubishi. I can’t recall if the Stealth had a twin turbo model, but I recall they didn’t have AWD/AWS nor Active Aero system.

There were two tricked-out Starions built for the show Gorilla: Metropolitan Police Squad 8 by a Mitsubishi subcontractor that made five of these cars in total. They needed two cars for the show because the gullwing mechanism was horrible - always failing. 👀

It’s rare that you see plastic inserts for headlights and taillights on any AW Diecast vehicle such as the Camaro 👍🏻😊 It has a total of 4 front plastic inserts for headlights and fog lights and 2 in the back.

The Mitsu Starion/Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth Conquests - yes it was called by 4 names and most seemed to be Chryslers and Mitsus (I owned a Chrysler Conquest) won't come out for a while - the black can be ordered for a Feb release with chance to get a Red Chase car if you pre-order more than one. The Other 2 colors white and different red won't be released until April - at least that's what their rep told me as opposed to the website that just updated to say Feb for the white and red. Hopefully it's Feb for those, too. The Conquest was VERY cool - I don't know of another car in late 80s that came from the factory with a wide body, staggered wheels and meats, intercooled turbo, adjustable shocks, radio controls on steering wheel and a massive cooly lit EQ - the dash was an orange light show at night. That puppy would waste Porsches and Z's all day long. Waiting for a '74 'Cuda because that was the first new car I bought when I was 21 back in '74. 🚗

Lamley group can you please help me out with something. On the Mattel or LLC website the minute and item is released I am logged in I got my credit card information ready an put in ahead I put one in my cart cuz and it tells me I have less than a minute to wait due to high traffic volume then it tells me the item is sold out. But yet I can go on eBay and can pay double or triple the price and they have 2-8 available and will sell them to you 2 days before release I don't understand how I can't get one when I make sure I am on it everything is prepped ready and I'm ready to go but yet it tells me it's sold out but other people can get 8 or 10 of them and sell them ahead of time on ebay. What is going on I am a dedicated collector and have trouble getting anything because of this what do I do? Please respond back and let me know what's going on with that issue. I will ruin this 3000GT casting by saying this and I apologize but they completely messed up that roof line. Instead of having that slight angle up there, it feels like it is too "pointed". Am I the only one seeing this? It completely ruins it for me and I was so excited about it! The Stealth doesn't have this issue BTW. The QC crew slipped on this one unfortunately... Once you see it, you can't "unsee" it.
