Love these scenic intros, you should do them more often when the weather is good. The Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet, 2019 Mustang Coupe, '76 Honda CVCC and the new '57 Dodge Sweptside Pickup and '79 Chevy Nova are my favorites from this 2021 3rd Mix. Gota get the blue nova I had a real one just like that until recently and it was blue with a built 355 and and ten inch rally’s and 7s up front with side pipes and floor shift turbo 400. Match box has it going on here lately

In 1955 Chevy came out with the Cameo Carrier pick up with fiberglass fleetside style fenders. Dodge to compete with the top of the line Chevy, created the Sweptside pick up by welding Dodge Station Wagon quarter panels to the pick up bed. Of course they used the station wagon tail lights, also.

Another really nice batch. Must haves are the '79 Chevy Nova, '76 Honda CVCC, MG MGB Coupe, Ford Mustang GT, Mini Cooper Countryman, and '65 Land Rover Gen II. I'm still on the lookout for B case. I cannot find this batch for the life of me! I really want that Audi TT RS Coupe, Bentley Bentayga, and Aston Martin DBR1! As for this batch, I'm just happy that they gave the MG MGB Coupe and '79 Chevy Nova a deserved chrome base instead of grey plastic crap. It totally ruins the casting that way and I refuse to buy them unless they're chrome. There are some exceptions. If it's done with a black or white plastic base, it looks fine. It doesn't nearly as cheap as grey does. Maybe it's because grey shows all the waves, creases, and cut lines in the molding.

I think that Matchbox should also make castings for the 1975 Chevrolet Nova, as well as one in police livery, fire chief livery, and taxi livery, as well as Second Generation Pontiac Phoenix, 1975 Buick Skylark, and Second Generation Oldsmobile Omega castings, and that the 1972 Chevrolet Nova also needs 1974 Pontiac Phoenix, as well as the Buick Apollo, First Generation Oldsmobile Omega, and the Pontiac Ventura, variant castings. The other vehicles can also come in police car, fire car, and taxi livery as well.

Ugh, details. The Nova got the rectangular headlights for it's last year, so 79 would be right, but the 3-segment taillamp was 77 (Concours) and 78 (Nova Custom) only. Also, the Honda Civic is a non-CVCC by the shorter front end and lack of dual hood scoops for the cabin fresh-air intake instead of the bulge and simple slots (both have the side-facing engine vents)

The Nova was named that because it's Latin for " new". When people in Spanish speaking markets wouldn't buy them because of the Spanish translation of the name ( it won't go), Chevy changed it to Caribe. In Canada the Nova was sold as a Canadian Pontiac, the Acadian. The last generation of the Chevy Nova that this one represents is now called "the disco Nova"

I always wanted to see someone make a blend of itasha and fantasy art on a panel version of the Nissan NV 3500 van and then have them make a heavily modified Nissan Titan V8 engine be put under the hood so it could be like the Nissan version of the Dajiban (Dodge Vans) that tend to be turned into muscle vans (which, believe it or not, happened in the USA and Australia before Japan made them a thing). I also think that Matchbox should not only make a panel van version of this van (which is like the one that is in the video, but has metal where the side windows are instead, at least for the low roof versions of this particular type of van, anyway), but make that panel van have at least one type of panel van artwork. Basically, a beautiful anime/manga/JRPG elf maiden riding a dragon, a unicorn, or a wizard would all be nice choices for the van, or at least some Bob Ross/Akiane Kramerik/Frederick Remington type landscapes, and maybe some real life animals, like horses, would also be some nice choices for the van for different artwork.

Matchbox, Hot Wheels, Tonka/Maisto, or someone needs to do a casting of the 1970 Dodge D-100 in its "Dude" configuration. Little did you know that the classic Mopar engines, and even the modern Hellephant crate engine and transmission kit, fit under the hoods of those sorts of trucks, thus the Dodge D-100 is going to be a collectible ride soon.

Matchbox leave red windows to hot wheels. The van was nice without those. The land rover is nice but I wish the bumper was a greyer plastic maybe. The MG, the mustang, the nova and the civic are all great. Why did they put windows on the dodge truck? I dont understand the use of blue windows. I've never seen a car with blue windows in real life. Post is a shame. Seems to be more a cost issue than a safety issue though (although the two can interact). HW has done some new castings without the post.
