I know Hot Wheels doesn't do themed mixes for Team Transport, but this mix of three sets screams Vintage Racing. Let's open them up.

Someone needs to setup an exchange program with the US and the UK; over here the US muscle cars (the ‘real’ versions of which were never sold here) end up being the peg warmers and the euro cars are impossible to obtain. Looks like it’s the opposite in the US, so we should do a peg warmer exchange!

Dot Matrix rubbish is on many Mattel “Premium” products, fully convinced it’s a cost cutting issue. Don’t care if tampos rub on the card, wish they’d fix it! Models would look so much better.

I have the black and gold chevelle on the card. I found it in an antique store for $5, a few months before the prices skyrocketed.

The second story lorry was used with the gulf pantra set. It is a nice ruck. Sadly, the fiat is a peg warmer in its single outing.

I am a very selective Collector , with a Very small collection.But I would really like to have this set. When I was a kid, my dad would take me to riverside raceway and we would often see Dan Gurney racing there and winning often. Great memories!I I saw and bought the 'Cuda and hauler a month ago. Plus, I used to own a Fiat Brava (131). I have the red HW version, but I would love to get this racing version with the hauler. AND that Chevelle looks great. Would love to find some warm legs out there!

Update: I now have all 3 of these. Love 'em! Plus I found the number 48 "Cuda" online and purchased it as well. I have perched the #42 Cuda on the roof of the hauler and the #48 exiting the back of the hauler. My Olio Fiat truck now has the dark blue #8 Mainline Ford GT and the #86 grey Porsche 904 Carrera GTS on the top with the Fiat 131 on the bottom. I love the way that all looks. Other times I put the original red Abarth 131 on the truck along with the blue and yellow Abarth. And the Chevy hauler is now carrying the HW Pandem Datsun 280 ZX from the Premium series. The Impala is hangin' out with my orange "69 Chevelle SS 396.

There was also the Dan Gurney Hall of Fame release in early 2000's, that with the vintage racing and this new team transport set would make a nice little collection.

Finnaly there is a full set of team transport that i really want. Love all of the casting. The sacura sprinter will be a new edition for my collection because non of the prevous combinations have gotten my intrest.

Agreed, I never understood why that impala or this chevelle (not to mention the cuda set) are peg warmers at all. There awsome and a few of my favorites.

Here in Texas pretty much every pallet is raided the second they hit the floor, the only spot that had hope was a local grocery store chain that started carrying them, but now it’s pillaged :/

Cheers for the replies fellas! Shame how it started trending on social media and now the hobby is full of some really questionable individuals. A friend of mine has joined a gang of these scalper folks... And the least I can say is that it's very discouraging to see grown ass men act that way (not just for toys but for anything).

I like everyone else loved the vintage racing series,unfortunately only have 3 examples,HW could also do some vintage Australian race cars as they have 2 premiums to use and a basic also,would be a great series to revive and plenty of models to use from all over the world ❤

Vintage racing focus is a great idea so long as HW remember they are a global brand, not just American. No offence to the US racing fans but for those of us without a history of NASCAR fandom (i.e. most of the world) these Chevelles and Impalas and so on are pretty boring. They're well made and everything, but I just don't care about them; the Barracuda is nicer simply because it has a more interesting livery. The Fiat on the other hand, iconic for European rally lovers. That's the one I want. I really wish they'd sell the trucks and cars seperately. The trucks are really cool but often I just want one, usually the car but sometimes the transporter. If that worked out they could maybe branch out into more general commercial vans - removals, containers, utility trucks in proper scale with HW cars.

Shame the Cuda and Chevelle didn’t have Goodyear tires, but still cool nonetheless. Fiat looks great as well. Been saying, we need Vintage Racing back. Even if it’s a Car Culture mix. With that said, yes it should include Japanese cars, etc. However, I think it should still primarily be American cars. Car Culture already is predominantly Japanese and European cars, so let’s see at least one mix with predominantly American cars!

Honestly I kind of agree. That’s mainly because I prefer more stock-looking cars as opposed to racing liveries. It’s bad enough they get you to buy the hauler, and for $15 I want the car to be 🔥. None of these stand out that much

Nice casts but still unpainted grey wheels that ruins the premium feeling that we pay for it. It's so disappointing for Mattel to cut corners in such beautiful cars....
