Net to look back at the fish room. Awesome to see how it has transferred to what it is today.

Kidnapped fry, that’s crazy man! You’ve got a factory of gold going there haha, awesome fish. Haven’t owned any shell dweller yet but I agree species only seems perfect for them. Enjoy hearing you plan and strategize always looking to get better survival rate and maximize growth. In my head I jokingly thought “Tom just needs a front loading washer and stick 2 more tanks up there” right before you mentioned that was your wife’s idea lol.....looking forward to the expansion!

Get another hanging fry tank - Fluval makes a awesome one which hangs on the outside of the tank but uses air bubbles to constantly import water. I think the sku# is 10943.

Awesome use of space! And beautiful fish! Just saw the promo on GetGills, looked em up some more and wha la, found your channel. Don't think I'll be able to order from the current lot, but I'll be setting up a tank for some once we move and I can setup my own fishroom (also after the 1st)!

I just found and joined your channel. I also am starting a set up for some multis. Just wondering if you have any to sell. And if you do not, can you recommend someone? I live in the Seattle area. I did join a local club, but just trying every base, because the majority of online sellers do not have any multis. Thanks for a great show. Love the attention to detail. Cool! 😊

Have you had Multi's before? I am looking at shell dwellers and I was told Multifasciatus were a little less aggressive. I have a large tank and I want to put Cyprichromis in as well. Just looking for all the information I can get before I decide. I just subbed you today, I really enjoy your videos and the first video I watched was on your L134 my all time favorite Plecostamus. I want to be able to sell fry I am up in Canada I don't think I offer any competition. I am semi retired just looking for a pleasant hobby to supplement my other favorite hobby. Thanks for any Shell dwelling info you can provide. I have been out of the hobby for 40 years.

I'm currently shopping for these but nobody has them. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr! Do these dig and reshape their landscape constantly like multies? And will they form a colony? You seem to have only adults and fry in the same tank; but as you said, you are trying to maximize production for selling. I'm looking house these in a 40B with perhaps a surface dweller. Such beautiful fish!
@TMAquatics6 жыл бұрын
Catfish Cave They constantly rearrange the landscape in the tank. Always burying shells and moving sand. Quite fun to watch. They will not form a close knit “community” like Multi’s. They will “lightly tolerate” their neighbors at an appropriate distance...LOL. Ocellatus are much more territorial than Multi’s and will kill fry. However, they also make very protective parents if given enough room (as shown in the video). The male is the best, constantly breaking up quarrels between the females, and protecting all the fry. I have since removed all the fry from the tank (there were over 50 at the time of filming, and moved the 40 or so from the fry box) and reintroduced the other adults back into the tank. I have over 150 fry and would normally offer some to you, but I haven’t started shipping fish. Will likely start in the near future.

Have you ever tried PVC for their shells ?? It makes it so much easier to pull the fry from the tank..
@TMAquatics5 жыл бұрын
I’m not a pvc in the tank kind of guy. But I do realize the benefits and have seen many who use that in place of shells.

Hallo... Greetings from Jakarta. I have a question. How long between one hatchling to another.? Just get a baby gold lamprologus after keeping about 6 month.. should I remove the baby or leave it with the group. My tank 60x60x90 cm... Thank you...

I actually just reset my colony with a new group. They should start breeding within a month. The previous group did great for a while until the male killed a few females until it was down to a trio. Got a few hundred fry from them, so no complaints.
