Thanks Jeremiah! This was one of my earlier works. It's an introductory into sculpting figures. Their not too complex, with a little practice YOU could make these even better. 🐢

Awesome! It does take some practice so don't get discouraged if things break on you. I recommend checking out the Kiln Operation video, I go more in-depth on thermal expansion In that video. Stay safe and best of luck on your glass journey!

Hello Robert, glad your enjoying the channel. I've been working on beads lately. I'm trying a none mandrel approach. They actually look pretty cool. I'm using a lot of clear glass so they shine and don't look plastic. I'm excited to throw together a few necklaces.

I think it would be interesting if you did a video where you went back and critiqued your older videos. Point out areas where you've gotten a lot better, mistakes you made and how you would do things differently now. Maybe try and do some collaborative videos with other lampworkers? Ask them to teach you techniques or help you refine one's you have trouble with like how to get better implosions, better control of flame chemistry when working reactive colors especially when making larger projects. I like your channel, it's fun to watch someone who isn't a professional and shows their learning curve. Do you have an Instagram?

That's a good idea. There's certainly some insightful advice I could give from my old videos. A large difference with my channel from other artists however, is that I don't focus on the same projects or techniques, and to teach everything from glass to science. Staying hyper focused in one area is the best way to advance a certain style. I would expect anyone who would focus on glass turtles for example, to surpass what I've made here in this video, in a reasonable amount of time. Overall my main focus on the channel is to inspire others; Not just to become glass workers, but towards creative goals that will help them find their own path. Thanks for watching. My Instagram is @jasaglass I only have 4 posts, it's rather bare.

@@MattJasa right on man, i do like how you experiment with ideas and use glass in unconventional ways. I'll add you on Instagram, my ig is evvvvaaaan. I've been thinking about making glass blowing vids, I've been on the torch off and on for about 19 years. Mostly self taught, I had a guy introduce me to glass when I was 16 and showed me a few things but for the most part those turned out to be bad advice and had to unlearn those habits. I've been on a break from blowing glass for about 6 years but just recently fixed up my ventilation system and am getting back into it
