Why are you listening to her music then and you should be aware that Lana inside of her soul is dead which means is that she is with the devil. Born to live means that you are not listening to toxic music or environment and that you are with the creator aka God. I can almost guarantee that all of her fans are being brainwashed by Lana Del Rey because she is part of a cult and is a great trick to fool you. The first time I saw this video, I was in the middle of a mushroom trip. When the second half started playing with the piano leading, my mind was instantly locked and I realized my body actually froze. As the music continued, I realized my emotions were so hard to captivate at the moment. My mouth was wide open like I had just witnessed a tragedy, and my eyes were full of tears, but in reality my heart was so full of joy but I physically couldn’t express it. When the video finally ended on that last piano chord, my heart was SO full of love and harmony. It made for the best psychedelic trip of my entire life. I can’t stop coming to this masterpiece. A true beauty.

The theory about the meaning of the music video (ignore bad english): Okay so I was reading some stuff on the internet and some web-site says that this video was actually inspired about People's Temple cult. The leader of the cult was Jim Jones (in the video played by Father John Misty). The cult best known for the mass murder-suicide in November 1978 of 918 cult members. Almost all of them was cyanide poisoned (the "juice" that Lana's drinking is actually that posion). The scenes at the chorus and at the end are actually the afterlife or something like that.

In what way is she anything like Marilyn Monroe? She's nowhere near as famous as Marilyn was as a star of the silver screen as celebs were back then, she's not known as a massive sex symbol, she's not an actress, she's not spent a life time being addicted to various drugs and jumping from one father figure to another in a desperate search to be loved and supported, despite Lana being lovely, and she is, she doesn't have the same sparkle and energy that Marilyn had, completely different presence, and presumably isn't half as much of a pain in the arse to work with.
@niketo1004 жыл бұрын
@@xavierrrr your comment literally describes 'Ride' by Lana Del Rey. Even 'Tropico' is truly avant-f-garde to this era, the addictions, temptations. Ultraviolence brings back female grunge and guitars, that's rock for the summer! Hawaiian Glam metal. Sex Symbol? Have you ever seen 'Burning Desire' or 'Music to watch boyz to f'? Not just the videos but sonically? Lana is ahead of this time. She inspires. Thats what Marilyn is. Lana sings about her in several unreleased songs. I am sorry, she is an artist to me.

I just love how Lana Del Rey's music always revolves on love, the old-fashioned way, where two people are dying for each other, unlike today's artists who turn every song into a lesson about strength and independence. I'm honestly tired of all the self-empowerment anthems and how often they're wrongly represented, where a woman shoots the man who insults her, but not the other way. I'm not against women rights, on the contrary, I'm 100% against abuse of all kinds, but I'm against it for both genders, I'm against men abusing women and women abusing men, equally. Another point is how love today is portrayed like some sort of agreement between two separate independent people, with each one of them leading their own life, and all they share is a place and a bed. I'm totally not into that type of love, and I love the way Lana represents love, where two people are head-over-heels for each other, and never giving up, no matter what and the you and me, becomes us, and the your and my life, becomes our life. That's why Lana Del Rey is very special to me, even though I'm not always into her music, but she represents an image that today's mainstream singer are trying to replace with an alternative disgusting one.

"Drinking the Kool-Aid" is a figure of speech commonly used in North America that refers to any person or group who knowingly goes along with a doomed or dangerous idea because of peer pressure. The phrase oftentimes carries a negative connotation when applied to an individual or group.
