I love how she sings the sad side of things, that part that none of us wants to talk about. Thats why many of us can relate to her music, it has feeling. And we all have feelings, even though we dont want to admit it. Like those songs that talk about having your shit together and being strong and confident, they feel fake. Instead, Lana´s songs feel real, organic, truthful, honest.

You're both somewhat right. ""Old Money" was written by Del Rey, Dan Heath and Robbie Fitzsimmons. It is a development, both melodically and lyrically, of an early demo titled "Methamphetamines" which in itself is melodically inspired by Nino Rota's "What Is a Youth" (or "Love Theme From Romeo and Juliet")." - Wikipedia

This song reminds me of a man I met and fell in love with. He used to wear a perfume that smelled like cinnamon. One day he sent me a message saying that he has to go and when the time is right he will come back.. its been 4 years and i am still waiting for him and since that last msg i never heard of him ever again.. This song reminds me of him and how much my life was affected by his sudden disappearance. And the wait.

@Tabby Foods Oh dear . He should give you at least an explanation. Something .. don't wait for him anymore . People who love us don't treat us this way . I don't know why he left but to me it seems that he just wanted an excuse to leave and he could not find one. He just wanted to disappear from your life and he wanted you to lose his trace . 4 years and he didn't even check up on you to see if you are ok. If I were in your shoes I would go on with my life . It's not easy but you deserve better . So forget about him and find love to someone else. I hope things will get better for you and I wish you all the best. Take care.

This is full of emotion and is genius! Without even paying attention to the lyrics, the music and her voice made me feel like driving away from the things that I have always known, something that meant the world to me. Like a childhood house or a person. Feels you have no one at all with you. The loneliness is strong. Sad, daunting but a little comforting (weirdly), because it made me feel like I am self-sustained?? Like I have myself and that's all I need though I feel lonely.

Will always be one of my favorite emotional songs ever.. there is something about the tone of her voice in this that makes me cry regardless of the lyrics but the lyrics are some of the best ever. 🥰
