This song wasn't made to have a sophisticated video, it was a single that dropped for people who drive and drive and drive through the end of summer (When summer's fading away). She was portraying a specific feeling you have at the end of summer (when summer fades away, nothing gold can stay). It was funny watching you while she was singing "over and over honey, over and over honey..." the video was going over and over again. Venice Bitch is the one of her greatest song.

The song is a masterpice probably one of her best if not her best one. The video is not the attraction of the video tho, its one of her "worst ones" but I dont event count it as a music video, the song its what is really special

my favorite Lana song, the low effort music vid doesn't bother me bc they weren't the official singles intended for music video treatment. lana just wanted to treat her fans. I think its dumb to get caught up about a looped clip considering the song is 9 minutes, I'd take it over just the self shot cover art. no one forces you to watch the video....

I get it. At first I was put off by this video and didn’t even listen to the whole song because of it. But after giving it a few listens, just listening to the song and not watching the video, it became one of my favorites (I have about 30 favorite Lana songs though hehe). I really like when she makes a cool video, but look at it this way - if she didn’t make any video for thos song, you wouldn’t react to it, so I’m glad she made any video :)

Yeah I agree with all that, the music is what sticks with me, the videos don't matter in the long term, bit it's still nice when some effort is put into one, regardless videos are part of the package you are presenting to fans and potential new fans

Here’s the thing about Lana, she doesn’t present work for fans. She said so many times, she makes art for herself and only herself and for fun, nothing more; and then she decides to share it with people (if she wants to, the reason she has +300 unreleased songs and X number of unreleased music videos).

I will say that NFR didn’t have my favourite videos (although is my favourite album), with Fuck it I love you/the greatest being the exception. This song as well took me a long time to enjoy because my attention span is non-existence though I have grown to enjoy it.

@Best Friends React I generally hate big budget, overproduced videos (think Taylor Swift) and prefer the grainy home style ones. It was like a trippy visual mantra to summer's end. Yes, it was repetitive but that echoed the line "over and over..."For me, it successfully induced a feeling of wistful nostalgia (The blue car at 1:17 looks like exactly like my family's '67 Buick GS 400! I wish she had repeated that section!😊). Glad I stumbled across your Channel. Looking forward to more Lana reactions😊. Strangely enough, I remember these types of video more than the splashier productions.
