*Dan Heath is my favourite Lana producer and here's why:* - He does this remix + the DH Orchestral version for Young & Beautiful which are FLAWLESS - He produced Blue Jeans which was the first Lana song I became obsessed with - He did the National Anthem strings which are genius and iconic - He did the strings in Ride and Gods & Monsters which are even MORE GENIUS AND ICONIC - He did Yayo and Bel Air which are her most heavenly songs - He produced Ultraviolence (song) and Fucked My Way Up To The Top which are my favourite song productions on that album - HE DID LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL and ONCE UPON A DREAM - IS DAN HEATH JESUS???????

@ how come?

@@bloomspicy Blue Jeans was actually produced solely by Emile Haynie, like most of Born to Die. He did arrange the strings, though. Justin Parker arranged the orchestra in Ride and Rick Rubin produced the track. He co-arranged the strings with Larry Gold in National Anthem. Yayo was solely written and composed by Lana years before she even met Heath; he later re-worked the song for Paradise, adding nothing to the original composition. He did not compose the music or produced neither Fucked My Way or Ultraviolence; he did, however, worked on the strings in Old Money. I also find disrespectful to Lana and co. to say "he did" the songs. I agree he's an incredible, lush musician, though.

Down on the West coast, they got a saying "If you're not drinking, then you're not playing" But you've got the music You've got the music in you, don't you? Down on the West coast, I get this feeling like It all could happen, that's why I'm leaving You for the moment, you for the moment Boy Blue, yeah, you You're falling hard, I push away, I'm feeling hot to the touch You say you miss me and I wanna say I miss you so much But something keeps me really quiet, I'm alive, I'm a lush Your love, your love, my love I can see my baby swinging His Parliament's on fire and his hands are up On the balcony and I'm singing Ooh baby, ooh baby, I'm in love I can see my sweet boy swaying He's crazy y cubano como yo, la-la On the balcony and I'm saying Move baby, move baby, I'm in love I'm in love (I'm in love) I'm in love (I'm in love) Down on the West coast, they got their icons Their silver starlets, their Queens of Saigons And you've got the music You've got the music in you, don't you? Down on the West coast, they love their movies Their golden gods and Rock 'n' Roll groupies And you've got the music You've got the music in you, don't you? You push it hard, I pull away, I'm feeling hotter than fire I guess that no one ever really made me feel that much higher Te deseo, cariño, boy, it's you I desire Your love, your love, my love I can see my baby swinging His Parliament's on fire and his hands are up On the balcony and I'm singing Ooh baby, ooh baby, I'm in love I can see my sweet boy swaying He's crazy y cubano como yo, la-la On the balcony and I'm saying Move baby, move baby, I'm in love I can see my baby swinging His Parliament's on fire and his hands are up On the balcony and I'm singing Ooh baby, ooh baby, I'm in love I can see my sweet boy swaying He's crazy y cubano como yo, la-la On the balcony and I'm saying Move baby, move baby, I'm in love I'm in love I'm in love

I wish this song had some kind of drums in the middle and end from a drum machine or something, something with rhythm, some kinda beat to it to enhance it slightly more.
