Lana Del Rey ( Elizabeth Woolridge Grant ) is one of my favorite new artists. If she called to hire me, I would take the job in a heartbeat. Her music is deep, passionate, sultry, melancholic and complex. Her collaboration with Rick Nowels on this song is superb. When I first heard West Coast, I knew immediately that I would want to make a video to her song. I wanted to add her lyrics to the video for your enjoyment.
I played the rhythm guitar pretty much note for note with the exception of an additional guitar solo during the last 8 bars of the song. I hope you enjoy watching this video as much as I enjoyed making it.
