this song is her looking back at her past when she was found out by men in music business conference and how she felt like a god. also how the music kinda starts building when she says that but leads to nothing i feel that represents how fame brought nothing but pain to her (she says that in dark but just a game). at last she says she was probably better off then which is just sad. this is a sad song. my fav on the album along with yosemite.

her last two or three albums are definitely different from the rest of her discography. she kept them minimalistic and simple while her older albums were more dramatic and grand

this song is about lana's story before fame when she sang in brooklyn bars and worked as a waitress, but it is also a tribute to her muse amy whinehouse who mentioned in an interview that her dream was to be a waitress on roller skates, notice how her hair tall and the fitted dress brings back memories...

I have to be in the right mood to listen to this song but I do think it's one of her most reminiscing songs and just thinking what life was and what it could've been and the freedom of being young. I do wish that build up went somewhere more grand as well tho 😭

U should react to her JAZZ only cover by the moment “ Buddy’s Rendezvous “ It’s another completely different vibe… It’s a cover from the album Chloe and the next 20th century from Father John Misty

Could you please react to Melanie Martinez? She has a very unique vibe to her music, talks about deep topics and she writes and produces her stuff. A very underrated amazing artist! You should react to her in order, ALL of her music from her albums have videos but you should definitely focus on the lyrics more. Please ):

I heard somewhere this song is about Amy Winehouse.
@wonderland45152 жыл бұрын
This song is strictly about Lana and her life, the only connection I see to Amy would be how Lana tackles the topic of fame here as something bad and how she would be better off. Dark but just a game is a more of a direct reference to Amy and other artists like Kurt Cobain who let fame get to the best of them. She also references Princess Diana in Wild at Heart
