this song is so beautiful. as someone with synesthesia, i hear music as colour. some songs are boring, bland, in shades of brown and gray. not lana. this song, to me, is a blend of rich, ocean blue and emerald green, with strands of gold. lana’s voice is a velvety, dark purple, bleeding through the colours and creating a beautiful mix of colour and sensation

@@ItsLightning8 It does get a little annoying sometimes, I'll tell you that. I see voices as smoky colours floating in the air, and I have to avoid crowds or places with a lot of noise because all that colour makes it really hard to see. Concerts are also a no-go. For the most part though, it's lovely to watch the colours.

[ LYRICS ] ❤️ I've seen the world Done it all Had my cake now Diamonds, brilliant And Bel Air now Hot summer nights, mid July When you and I were forever wild The crazy days, city lights The way you'd play with me like a child Will you still love me When I'm no longer young and beautiful? Will you still love me When I got nothing but my aching soul? I know you will, I know you will I know that you will Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful? I've seen the world, lit it up As my stage now Channeling angels in the new age now Hot summer days, rock 'n' roll The way you play for me at your show And all the ways I got to know Your pretty face and electric soul Will you still love me When I'm no longer young and beautiful? Will you still love me When I got nothing but my aching soul? I know you will, I know you will I know that you will Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful? Dear lord, when I get to heaven Please let me bring my man When he comes tell me that you'll let him in Father tell me if you can Oh that grace, oh that body Oh that face makes me wanna party He's my sun, he makes me shine like diamonds Will you still love me When I'm no longer young and beautiful? Will you still love me When I got nothing but my aching soul? I know you will, I know you will I know that you will Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful? Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful? Will you still love me when I'm not young and beautiful?

Ikr. It portrays Scott Fitzgerald's original story very well, not many book based movies can do that. Granted some scenes from the original book has been cut out (probably to make it more dramatic and fast paced)... But overall, great movie, dare I say almost better than the original.

are you stupid? she plays sold out shows across the country and her albums sell extremely well, how on God's green earth can you think you're "ahead of the curve?" you're on a bandwagon with the rest of us. sit the fuck down, shut the fuck up, and enjoy the ride without stroking your ego about how special you are.

This is like the perfect fusion of tribute the 1920’s (the era “the great gatsby”) is set in but also sounds like 2010’s music and oddly enough, as we head into “the roaring 2020’s”, I wonder if this style of fusion of old 1920’s art, 1950’s Hollywood but 2020’s ethics plus morals will become the defining genre of our own. It’s called pastiche (look it up, it’s a communication studies term for the mixing of different eras of the past with the present and a perceived future).

This song enraptures everything about america. materialism at its finest. But that is what I love about Great Gatsby. Our greatest flaws are we all want to be kings and queens. Its what makes us the most powerful country in the world. Because in the end, we all are kings and queens.

The orchestra version will be my private dance song at my wedding and I plan on as everyone exists I change into a satin white dress that has a train and gloves and wait for him at the bottom as the stairs and walk down the stairs and give my future husband a small smile as I hold out my hand for him to take and dance this with him. And that is all I want, this song the band playing it or the sound machine anything really as the lights dim. And when the part “dear lord.” I spin with laughter
