I was 17 when I first started listening to Lana. I was an anxy, depressed and confused teen. When I first heard the orchestral opening of Born to Die, I was hooked. I found an artist that I could completely relate to in terms of her melancholia, philosophical yearnings, and tragic romanticism. Nearly 13 years later and I’m still obsessed with her music. Thank you Lana ❤️

My first ever Lana song I was exposed to was “Prom Song Gone Wrong” back when it was allowed on KZbin. From there, I was perplexed by a voice that SOUNDED poppy, but had strange hip hop vocals with bratty/raspy vocals. It was such an anomaly to me and I fell in love. Then she was on snl, and while I knew her voice wasn’t what the commercial world was used to, I was fulllly locked in, and that never change to this day.

about ASAP.... he heard her song Blue Jeans and fell inlove with her voice. Lana herself grew up on rap and takes inspirations from it. She and ASAP became friends and he actually had a crush on her, said she was his "dream woman". They have a couple songs together, but you should watch the "National Anthem" video where he plays John F. Kennedy and she- Jacqueline Kennedy (even though he doesnt rap on it). Beautiful track vith a beautiful video.

12:12 I found Lana when I was 17 back in 2012 and on my senior year of high school. I would religiously go online every Friday after school to find new music, and I came across her BTD album a few weeks after its release and remember being hooked on her album right away. It was unlike anything I had heard before. When I took a deeper dive into her music, I realized that I had seen her Born to Die music video on KZbin about a month prior, and I thought the video was captivating, but I didn’t feel the music so much. I had a different perspective of the song after I listened to the whole album. Her album spoke to my soul. I even purchased the album off iTunes, even though I was broke, because I wanted to listen to the highest quality posible instead of downloading for free anywhere else. Her music is truly timeless. 🤌💋
