I love Lana’s energy and it’s so great that it is reflected in her home. I love that she designed the house to the way she lives because so many people are custodians of their homes especially in Sydney where everyone is worried about resale value. She didn’t hide the microwave, she built her office kitchen and she committed to the Santorini design and it clearly works for her and her family.

As I scanned what to watch on KZbin, I rolled over the Thumb nail picture and my stomach jumped and I thought that is strange so I knew I had to watch this. Our first home was a house in the Phoenix, AZ, metro area. Bougainvillea are beautiful, but spiky and they completely take over (at least in that location). We fought with them too many times, bloodied by their spikes, and finally removed them to put in succulents without spikes! 🌵 Beautiful renovation, cheerful commentary. Happy video. 🙂

I was expecting the light switch behind the bathroom door to be a regret ;) The place still looks beautiful. It doesn't come across as 'Santorini-themed' - but Santorini inspired. The house somehow lends itself to being rendered and painted white. I imagine that in Santorini today, a new build might look something like Lana's house.
