Can anyone tell me why my work isn't laying flat? Is it because my hook is too small for the weight yard I'm using? I'm trying this with a 5mm hook and DK yarn
@britneydresel27568 ай бұрын
Hi! Sorry if you’ve figured this problem out yet, but you should do wet/ steam blocking! It helps relax the fibers in the yarn so they are more loose and don’t curl up:)

It can be how tight your stitches are. Which is good but try elongating your stitches or using a bigger hook.

Does anyone know why mine is getting so wavy around the circumference?? Edit: I redid it with only 6 groups of 2 rather than 8 groups b/ my yarn is slightly larger. Edit 2: Guys, don't do that. I'm dumb. It has to be 8 petals to make a square. Now I've made a hexagon

You may pause the video, for example on minute 2:22, and see that she's using a 3,00 mm hook (5/0). But you can always use any other hook or yarn size ☺

You can use any kind of yarn, and size of hook. I only show here how to make this granny square, not a project with a concrete size. Keep in mind Bigger hook/yarn -> Bigger final size
