Sorry for the delay in making content. Coronavirus & Lockdowns aren't good for travel channels on KZbin. But now that I'm able to go to places, I should be able to crank out content on a more regular basis. To answer some of the comments that I'll invariably get (because I can predict what you're going to say). - Yes, I will go on more stadium tours - but whether that particular country will let me in due to their own COVID guidelines remains to be seen. - I'm fully aware that Bramall Lane is an older stadium, but Deepdale's claim of 'oldest continuously used stadium for professional football in the world' still stands, as Bramall Lane was originally a Cricket Ground and Sheffield United didn't play there until 1889. - Lancashire IS the home of football by way of number of victories, titles, trophies etc. Sorry Yorkshire, facts are facts. - Let me know what else you want to see!

I've missed your videos as of late, and what a response, especially for me as a Blackpool Fan🍊 I can explain some things. The reason why the East Stand looks so poor from the exterior is because it was temporary stand, however, it got left under our previous very poor ownership of the Oystons. We currently have plans to build a new stand to replace it. I highly recommend checking out the stadium tour. Maybe you can come back on a match day one day because our atmosphere in the Mortensen North Stand is incredible. Then you may even be able to catch a stadium tour🍊🧡

I like that you're going to stadiums outside the top flight. As an American, I wonder what a tour of a typical League Two, National League, & lower (i.e. Northern Premier & Northwest Counties League) stadium would look like.

Yes indeed. As you can tell from this video - they vary greatly in size and amenities. So even though three of these teams play in the same division - their facilities are markedly different. And the team that's a league above them (Burnley) has arguably worse facilities.

You should check out Wrexham which would make sense considering your background and the league Wrexham are currently in. A historic football club that has suffered badly for over a decade but finally there's light at the end of the tunnel for them thanks to their famous new owners.

Great. I live in Lancaster. Morecambe only Team in the league which is good. I used to watch North End, started in 94 when they had the plastic pitch. Watched Beckham score in front of me when he played for North End. I always thought Lancashire was footballing hub, just as you described. I know boundaries have changed, but i still feel Manchester, Bolton, Wigan etc are Lancashire too. A great, beautiful county. Blackburn 94/95 winners... :)

I agree ... Manchester, Bolton, Wigan, Liverpool - even though they're technically out of the county, all Lancastrian places. It's not so obvious in Football, but definitely in Rugby League - all the teams here consider themselves as part of Lancashire.

I enjoy the four stadiums in one day concept. I like seeing Championship stadiums because many people like me if choosing to visit the UK will more likely go seeing their favorite club’s or Wembley’s stadium tour. Yet, maybe by watching one of your video someone decides to go visit one of these stadiums and pay the £10 which will mean a lot more to the fiscal well being of a lower league clubs than a premier league team. Great Video!

Thanks Jonathan. I must admit, I only did these 4 in one day because I know them intimately and I live near all of them. I don't think I could do this on a regular basis - especially given that it's 4 times the amount of work than a normal stadium tour. But never say never I guess. Lancashire is definitely the home of football, but sadly incorrect about Rovers. The historical (and correct) map of the counties official encompasses Liverpool and Manchester (and part of the Lake District). The map they now use as 'administrative regions' is a complete sham.

On Jack Walkers instructions the crest of Manchester United is placed behind the door so when it is open you can’t see it. He didn’t like them at all. When the stadium was rebuilt the existing wooden panelled boardroom dating back to the 1890s was taken apart piece by piece and recreated in the new stadium.

Got to say Ninh, you've converted me into (somewhat) of a Preston Northend fan. After my holiday, I took a train ride from Blackpool North Station to Poulton-Le-Fylde then Preston having to stop off for a few hours, and the difference was night and day. Much cleaner and classier. Preston didn't look as if it had been stuck in a dementia timeloop of the '50s selling kitsch cannabis-flavoured candy floss and knob rock. The air didn't reek of donkey faeces, fried fat and sugar and weed. The cheap food options weren't just fast food, fizzy drinks and alcohol. You didn't get stopped every five seconds by beggars. I didn't get offered suspicious donuts outside a McDonald's (which happened once). Overall, just a nice underrated city. Not too busy like Manchester but still holds a lot of the modern ammenities that you might not get in other towns in the northwest (sorry Wigan, but you're a bit sh*t). A town like Blackpool that gets 20 million tourists a year should show something for it. It's not really known internationally or gains many middle-class or foreign tourists. Even the promenade looks run-down and desperately needs investment. Going down a single backstreet to Central Drive makes me question if Britain is just a second-world country attached to a Singapore-upon-Thames. I grew up on a housing estate but my-God we at least put the bins out. There was rubbish everywhere!!! By far the trashiest, unhealthiest and most revolting place I have ever been. And I am not a travel snob not least one bit. They are desperately trying to bring back tourists with their daft new seagull puppet adverts on ITV. A lot of Glaswegians I know stopped going altogether because of how overpriced and dirty the place is. I would rather go abroad for that kind of money. Perhaps I am a bit too harsh on Blackpool. I see it as a waste of potential but that could apply to the state of Britain as a whole. We have Milton Keynes, a new town constructed from scratch in the '60s meant to represent the pinnacle of modern living, which is now a laughing stock made fun of for being completely soulless. It's sandwiched right between Oxford and Cambridge. That's like if Silicon Valley was in a mid-way point between Harvard and NYU. We could have been global tech giants and nothing ever came of it. What I will give Blackpool though is that it's the only place you could see two Native American guys in full regalia get into an argument with a junkie outside Poundland. Surreal moment that.

Thanks for your message! I’ve read these comments and I cannot disagree with your summary of Blackpool. I alluded earlier in the video that Blackpool ‘is not my favourite place in the world’, and you now know the reasons why. I also agree with you that for a place that attracts so many people, it’s largely unchanged since the 50’s. Scottish people used to come here in their droves, but even they stay away now. Preston is indeed classier, cleaner and you won’t encounter nearly as many problems. Both in the city and at the football ground. Having seen Milton Keynes in person, I can concur that it is indeed soulless - but I’d still rather live there instead of Blackpool. BTW: Two Native Americans arguing with a junkie outside a Poundland? That’s an everyday occurrence there.

I think Ryan Lowe will bring back a level of respectability to the club, it won't be dire like under Frankie McAvoy. But he'll be given no money and barely any signings ... so if he can push you up the table with what he's got - he's doing very well. No football team can sustain a long term strategy when 3 of your starting 11 are loan players ... that just happen to be the best players at the club!

Lancashire is a county I have a lot of respect for. Without it we wouldn't have football. I'm a Chelsea supporter myself and I'm not jealous of United or Liverpool. In fact on our badge we have the red rose of Lancashire.

If I'm not mistaken, Preston North End (which my late friend Ryland once said "sounds like a high school team") are the only English football champions who haven't yet played in the Premier League. Hopefully that changes soon.

That is sadly correct. In fact, they're the only major team in Lancashire that hasn't played in the Premier League. As much as I'd love that to change - their management and business model prevents that. In effect - they've been shooting themselves in the foot repeatedly ... for the last 80 years!

The County Palatine of Lancashire also includes Manchester and Liverpool. The 1973 Local Gov. Act created new local government areas and , as ministers said at the time and have subsequently repeated, the historic County Palatines still exist...Post Office gets it right...means the southern boundary to Lancashire is the Mersey...and, indeed, some local authorities have correctly put up Lancashire signs along the Mersey. Hence historic Lancashire Co grounds also includes the likes of Goodison, Oldham etc

Great video. I've been to all of those places but for some reason only ever been to a Burnley game 😆 in England. Its a shame that clubs like Blackburn are sitting about the lower leagues when they have such a good history I remember they were playing in Europe at one point. But money ruins football as we've all seen with club owners.

Money is a dual-edge sword when it comes to football. I think it's more down to incredibly poor management that these clubs struggle both on and off the pitch.

Unlikely that they'll do tours of the football stadium, but you can probably see all the best bits from the outside. It's a short walk away from Blackpool South Train station, so it's really easy to find.

Doing lower league grounds in England's regions in this format is a brilliant way to go now that most of the big ones have been done. Maybe even do some videos for rugby and cricket grounds eventually? Fingers crossed for a genuine end to lockdown (conditions permitting) this year.
