The Lancaster often limped back on three rolls royce engines instead of four. A very sturdy plane which the crew loved. My Dad was one.

Those sounds only existed because of the men who serviced the engines and kept them flying. Remember the people first.

Great video clip. My dad was an m/u Lancaster gunner. Flying with 101 Squadron. 32 completed missions March - September 1944. He along with my 2 Uncles were WW2 veterans. All are long passed. I’m a retired veteran myself, now in my 70s. Thanks for the video.

Hope to see museum in a couple months - Avro Lancaster of Canadian Warplane Heritage museum is amazing, has flown for a long time as the only example flying until the last few years. Now there is example flying in Britain and the RCAF Lanc flew over for anniversary of D-Day

We missed the C130 today in Toronto. Was replaced by an RCAF Lear Jet type of thing. It was confusing.

There is a Lancaster Bomber in Nanton Alberta. Also, there is 2 more in the UK.

Apparently, there’s only two in the world. The UK has one and Hamilton has one. I just looked it up. I hope I’m wrong. I’d like to see more of them around. Got to preserve history.

@1dilligaf There is 2 Lancasters in the UK. They where flying in formation a couple of months ago. Can't remember the actual time frame. Some kind of celebration of sorts.

As a Canadian, if you visit another country, you do not have your Canadian 'rights' in that other country. Try it in Russia or Singapore and you will find that you have no "rights."

Would've rathered instead of spending on fuel, ads, and events or whatever, maybe give the money directly to vets or just to make life better for Canadians. People are starving, it's getting colder. Everything goes up monthly it seems.
