Lancaster, PA Iconic Walking Tour Pt. 1

Join along in this video on a walking tour of Lancaster PA. I ride the RRTA from New Holland to Lancaster where I spend a morning going to a few locations in the "Downtown" area. Never really being more than a few blocks from the square. I run through Musser Park, climb atop the King St Garage, and duck into Le Dulce Vita for some warmth and a snack. From there I meander to St James Episcopal church and we go inside to checkout some amazing early American architecture. I walk West down Orange St past the First Reformed Church, hook a left behind the Fulton building, and popped out on Queen St on my way to Central Market. I poke around there before heading West to the Fulton Opera House and checkout the plaque on the Water St. side of the building remembering the slaughter of all remaining Conestoga Indians that were held captive here before their execution. I turn North up Water St. and head towards Prince St. where I walk up Gallery Row and end the tour at PCAD. Lancaster City has such a storied history and I could go on on which made the editing process for this video difficult for me. I skipped over so many places with so many tidbits of history. Lancaster is packed.

I lived there for 40yrs. Nothing bad to say. Lived in a bunch of different neighborhoods, always had friendly neighbors. Always felt safe, and there has been a lot of creativity from the elected officials over the past few decades to make it great place to live. Enjoy

We go to Lancaster every year during Thanksgiving the century market is good the Amish country is very nice many good places to eat and the food and the people are wonderful
