I was wondering about how dives are assigned a specific level of difficulty? If you come up with a new dive, how do you judge its level of difficulty? Also, how do you decide which dives you should choose for the Olympics, and do their levels of difficulty have to add up to a certain number? Tom - when U dive do U hold your breath when U leave the board or platform and not exhale until U are underwater? Curious how the breathing part works. Thanks ... 💓👍💓

Breath work is a big part of diving, learning to hold your breath in a controlled way that doesn't leave you gasping. Meditation and learning breath control through yoga helps with this. The breath is held from the moment you leave the board as a) under such intense rotation, it is nearly impossible to breathe and b) you don't want anything to knock your centre of balance off. As the whole dive is over in a few seconds, holding your breath for that long isn't a massive challenge. It's just learning to do it properly in a controlled manner to give you the best artistic outcome in your dive.

Do you often get recognized when you're walking around London? I'm always surprised at how unbothered you are when you vlog while walking to/from home lol.

London is similar to New York. People usually don't mess with celebrities there (one of the reasons why celebs like to live on those two cities). Most New Yorkers and Londoners don't care about celebrities other than to maybe snap a cell phone pic across the street or something, but not enough to approach them. And half the time they don't even recognize celebs because they're not paying attention. Everyone walking around the city just kind of looks the same. It's the complete opposite in LA where people (and Paparazzi) are generally looking for celebrities to mob and get autographs and selfies with.
