Plain fact is no one can get into the upper levels of Motorsport without money or the correct connections is as always been that way. even the Gentlemen races of the 30's and 30's had to have money or wealthy Patrons, willing to give them cars or financial support. F1 is full or Drivers that paid their way into drivers or had their drives paid for at various points in its History. The Guy must have some talent after all he had to move through the lower tiers of open wheel racing to get a seat in F1. But how many have then lacked the talent to take it up that extra gear to challenge for the biggest prize in Motorsport. So many highly rated lower tear Open Wheel Champions have made it to F1 then never managed to progress before finally quitting F1 and finding their feet in things like WEC or Sports cars or Touring Cars racing. I think this is all down to his Father chasing a dream that will not happen after so long in F1 one can only imagine How Lance feels with his Fathers lofty targets for his son. I doubt anyone in the teams dares to tell Mr Stroll that his Dream is never going to happen and maybe for the team to progress they need to bring in two drivers that can improve the teams development and bring in more investment. His son can continue racing in a lower Motorsports Championship, He can even buy a team for him, but for the sake of Aston Martin things need to be changed.

The funniest thing is that Lawrence Stroll said within 5 years he wants the team to be challenging for titles, how does he expect to do that with Lance sandbagging the team who is routinely getting outpaced by every team mate, still makes rookie mistakes and clearly doesn't learn from said mistakes.

This is one of main reasons that keeps F1 from reaching heights it could, it's unrelatable to most people because of this. It's not the best that get the seat.

This isn't fair. He deserves to be in F1. His father wouldn't have hired Alonso or bought up an F1 team without Lance. Still, he can hold his own and is a qualified F1 driver

Lmao that poster that says “Great Job! Lance!” And the LED sign with the confetti After doing absolutely nothing is straight out of a comedy movie bro is jumping with joy as his dad forces everyone to cheer for him 😂

Too many DTD fans with too much hate for certain drivers which is just ridiculous. Drama drama drama it’s getting overplayed now

You have no passion for the sport if you do not understand the visceral reaction Lance Stroll evokes from the fans.

And of course Sakhir 2020, where Max and Charles didn’t finish and his teammate Perez won, Lance came 3rd!! (Ocon finished 2nd for anyone curious)

its not just his father. If the FIA was a respectable organisation they would've revoked his super license years ago.

We’ve had worse in F1 like Mazepin but Lance at his skill level has had far too many years that typically get a driver one year, maybe two max in F1. The crash into Ricciardo really put a bulls eye on him, deservedly so, after flying under the radar for so long. I expect Tsunoda takes his seat due to Honda, likely a condition of getting Honda motors.
