I had squirrel damage to my lawn for a couple of years. So last Feb I decided to take action. I bought a large spring cage trap off eBay for £16.99p (brilliant price) a fork cage separator (costing £10 of the internet) to force the trapped squirrel up the one end of the trap for an accurate 'Head Shot'. And I use a cheap Chinese .22 Air Rifle that I bought for the kids about 30 years ago for £11. I baited the trap with peanuts in shells, glued to the hinged platform with uhu all purpose glue or similar. They love peanuts, they eat the shell and all while they wait for the executioner to arrive. I expected to kill between 2 & 5 Squirrels. So far I've killed 25. Yes 25 😳 I've been amazed just how many of these destructive foreign bastards we have in our country.. We must eradicate these pests very soon or else they will destroy the balance in our beautiful countryside. Kill a Grey to save a Red. In fact, kill 10 Greys to save a Red. Grey Squirrels breed like Rats. Infact they are Rats - Tree Rats....

I recently came across some of your videos and started watching them and I really enjoy them. I am from the southern United States where we have a hunting season for grey squirrels that starts in early October and runs through the end of the following February. They are hunted here for food, not for vermin control as they are where you live. That leads me to my question. Do you or anyone that you know eat the squirrels that you shoot?
