surf fishing at its best. the preps, actions and the patience of all involved are tops. I fish the surf every now and then, for plate size fishes in legal sizes. over 2 feet in size ,I release. its too big. :) . a lot of lessons for young fishos in this vid, awesome!

Wowww!!! so nice to see all the process, from going with the canoe, then fishing and release the shark. Amazing. I got emotionally involved. I wouldnt be able to play with the shark mouth and free it from the hook!

I started to see those shark fishing videos because I find it really cool, but I came up with this doubt why do you guys go kayaking offshore for? Nice video, cheers mate!
@auzzieFisha911 жыл бұрын
We kayak offshore to get the baits out in deep water because it would be impossible to cast that far, Thanks mate

Question for ya mate that big pen senator how many mates of 80 lb does it hold. And what do you think of the reel servicing wise
@auzzieFisha910 жыл бұрын
blokefromthebush Fully spooled it holds around 1000m of 80lb mono. I've never really got it serviced so im not real sure mate

hey mate just got a cheap overhead reel on my rod and thinking of spooling it with either braid or mono? whats the best for sharks. the reel will take 500m of 40lb braid. i plan to fish off the beach for smaller bronze whalers its on a wilson live fibre 8-15 kilo rod the reel is lever drag. and the sharks are no further than 20m off the beach is that a good enough setup with the braid or should it be mono?
@auzzieFisha910 жыл бұрын
James Hanna Yeah mate braid should be fine just make sure you use some mono leader for abrasion resistance and you should be good as gold
@hunterwhitley12311 жыл бұрын
what rod you using there
@slamstar017 жыл бұрын
Also how hard is it to hang onto the rod when shark fishing
@auzzieFisha97 жыл бұрын
Depends how big mate, big sharks your whole body hurts from the constant pressure, I couldn't straighten my left arm for 2 days after catching my 10 footer. I haven't lost to many but the ones I have they were big

7ft and 200lbs? if that shark was 90kg you must weigh 150kg which you quite obviously dont... and if it was 7ft long you're 7'6''.. come on mate only exagerrate if people dont see what you caught!
