Land Cruiser 80 Series Auto gearbox fix - TC Automatix

De Wildt 4x4 claimed our 80 Series auto gearbox. If we select Park, neutral and or reverse, the car moves forward. We also lost our Low gear ability. A few things happened along the way, causing this to happen. This is our story

Very good and informative video. Must do my 80' gearbox oil and filter. My transfer case has the viscous coupling (slightly longer back housing)which seized due to previous owner abuse. Good video again 👍

We had to do the transfer case and LSD as well. Just got it back from TC AutomatiX

Hi there I’m from Australia love the video by the way I’ve got a 1995 Landcruiser auto with the a442f transmission the problem I’ve got is the car takes off in second gear and won’t go into overdrive and sometimes it drives good takes off in 1st shifts good goes into overdrive kicks down I had it checked by a Transmission specialist they checked the shift solenoids on and off the car they said everything is working as it should be they told me it’s not in the transmission it’s got to a electrical problem ECU or something I got another ECU replaced my one still the same problem can you give me some advice pls cheers

Kort ook bietjie werk aan my 80 series VX 1997 model se ratkas. Wat was die skade op die ratkas recon?

TC Automatix het ons goed behandel, als met die parte so by die 25k. Dit sluit in die propshaft ook.

@@OffCourse4x4 loop die ratkas nog mooi? Myne se olie seëls op die tranfercase het begin lek, propshafts afgehaal en ingevat vir nuwe u joints en balanseering. Lang storie lank, vat hom vandag na selfde manne as oom om na ratkas se snaakse shift van 2-3 te kyk en te sort.

i have landcruser 80 series change the engine from one HDT tubro engine to 1HZ engine then and fix the automatic gear box but after few month i expirienced the problem on gear shift from gaer number one to 3 and 4 but after some time drive with first gear on no shift they start to shift very well

I had my 95 model 80 series auto rebuilt because of a massive 2 - 3 flare, the thing was and still is free reving when changing to 3 rd gear, really schits me that over 7 grand later nothing is fixed and also the converter lockup drops if the aircon is turned on. Not happy with these clowns in Cairns Australia and it took E'm 3 months to do the job as well.
