Why? Why should the Britons retreat? They were the ones who spread civilisation, the mother of the modern world. Almost everything presented in our lives is affected by the British Empire, Democracy, the Judiciary system, and even the internet. If there was no British empire there would be no modern world. As a Hongkonger I love Britain and I admit the British Empire as the mother of Hong Kong. I would readily accept the return to the United Kingdom. I want her to reign over Hong Kong and the world again, I want to see Britain as a great power again, I want to witness the tranquil glories of Britain. God save the King!
