Philippines produces a lot of singers, every house has a karaoke. During weekend there are neighbors who always use their karaoke. I remember my father in the 70s competes in singing contests. And in the classroom our teacher will let us sing during our free time. When me and my cousins get together there is only 2 out of 10 who has an average voice. The rest sings so well. Kids here are trained to sing as early as toddler age. Music is part of our daily life. Even during depressing situations, Filipinos still sing may it be church song or sad song.

Nah. The queens and princesses of singing. I got the honor of watching Jessica Sanchez perform live when she came to Cebu in 2018 and wow I was blown away to hear her sing in person, watching it one TV and actually hearing it are two very different experiences for sure. And just this year last September I got to see Rachel Ann Go perform at Soleir taking on the role of Eliza Schuyler in the Hamilton Musical and let's just say I got emotional when she sang Burn, had tears in my eyes from that moment onwards. It really makes me proud to see these amazing women take the world by storm! 💛
