Hey nick, that’s a really nice camel disco it’s turned out great, it’s great to still hear people talk about brownchurch roof racks and front bull bars, my dad founded brownchurch land rovers back in 1968, 3yrs before I was born along with Dennis brown, who was the co owner of the company, and went on to making both the roof racks and bull bars etc for the original camel trophy vehicles. It still makes me proud to this day. Great video nick church. 👍

Good job, an actual Camel Trophy Disco just sold on Bring a Trailer auction site for $138,000 but unless you are a collector you really don't want a truck that was beaten that badly early in life or at least, you want to be the guy who does the beating. d;-)

750R16 on LR 110 steel rims were fitted to Camel Discos Most modern equivalent size is 235/85 R16

@@roycraggs2058 7.50 was used for the Defenders, the Disco’s had 7.00 R16

be sure and clean all that mud out from underneath.. those frame rails and other parts will rust

Howdy. I’ve been looking into purchasing discos (particularly a 2000s) for a while. Could you post or link a list of what you believe is necessary for a discovery overland/offroad build? I understand that engine overheat is a major point of concern where people say you should change thermometers and temp gauges but I haven’t had anyone recommend new radiator (which came to mind with heating problems). Thanks.
