The Freelander 2 2.2 TD4 was actually the most reliable road Engine Landrover made besides the 300TDI that was specced for 20,000 hours of working life. Freelanders and 2.2 Evoqies can easily do 200,000 miles with no engine block repairs besides glow plugs. My Family has had 3 freelanders and 1 Evoque with over 1 million combined miles and they only cost £12,000 in maintenance. Which were standard mid life services changing all the oils, fluids containers.
