Land Rover Freelander 2 - Reduced Engine Performance fix

When your Freelander 2 suddenly loses power and the display says "reduced engine performance" it may be that it has suffered an overboost situation. This may be due to the (ah, so clever) moving blades of the turbo propeller which are dirty and hence do not adjust quick enough. Hence always carry a scanner such as the iCarsoft i930 with you on the road, and do as is shown in this video. If you get the fault often, use the spray intended for this: you keep the motor running and spray it to the air intake according to instructions - detach the hose so that you can put it in after the air filter. This cleaned our propeller so that we get this fault very rarely now. And sometimes we get the power back just by turning the car off and then back on. Anyway, this video was intended for my family as instructions but if it helps you then enjoy!

Se sumutetaan ilmanottoaukkoon (irrota letku niin saat laitettua ilmansuodattimen jälkeen) moottorin käydessä ohjeiden mukaan ja puhdistaa propellia. Auttoi ainakin meillä vähentämään merkittävästi tämän vian ilmenemistaajuutta. Joskushan vika lähtee sitä paitsi ihan vaan sammuttamalla auto ja käynnistämällä uudelleen, mutta sen sinä luultavasti jo tiedätkin, mutta aina ei - ja silloin on toisinaan pajalle tosi pitkä matka. Tämä video on tehty perheelleni ohjevideoksi mutta jos siitä on apua muillekin niin sen parempi!

Because maybe LR don't have a car language in his native language and so "reduced engine performance" is the correct title/problem for him to make a video about. The world is a little bigger than your mother's basement.

i had the same problem a few days ago took the vehicle to a part stored and they scan my car it was a miss fire on plug 3 change cylinder and plug cost only 85.00 vehicle runs good
