I love Landau's thought process about how the elderly hasn't anything good to watch or listen to anymore....his is so right on with that. I am 57 and so miss the good music and shows we once had. Thank the Lord for Landau Murphy. I hope and pray that his style will help change some of what is going on in the entertainment industry.

I am so proud tha he has mnot changed who he is in spite ogf his fame-makes me like him that much more- and the fact that he has the wisdom to appeal to all audiences makes me admnmire him all that much more-reminds me of Will Smith 'smentality- he does not play into color-he knows we all love him-what many blacks do not realize- we admire them so much for their talent and never would have tolerated what they did in the past- !

This man is not only incredibly gifted, but he's also a whole lot smarter than people might think from just looking at him. He's obviously very thoughtful and spiritually balanced. The pride of West Virginia! Loved his reply when the host implied that being black AND a crooner does not compute. Apparently the host was unaware of the long tradition of black crooners in America...Nat King Cole, Billy Eckstine, Sammy Davis, Jr., and so on. Peoples' minds get so overtaken by thoughts of race in America that they don't grasp that it's all ONE AMERICAN culture - whether it comes from a black American or white. That was the great beauty of American popular culture...that it meshed so many different expressions of popular art into a mega-structure of American culture. And that popular culture is now the source and foundation for expressing artistic talent for the entire world!
