I'm guessing this is in Europe, Germany? Back in the early 60s there were a few different makes of European combine imported to the US. New Holland brought in those Clayson's only painted them red. We had the main line us makes here, but in Dairy Farm country where there were larger New Holland dealers, you would see a few red Clayson's marked as New Holland. New Holland never had much of a Combine market here until the 70s when they released the Twin Rotor machine. Ford was selling Clauss Machines painted blur but equipped with the Ford industrial motors. Long set up a few dealerships and sold pretty much a full line of machines including combines. Don't know if those were built by long or some one elses machine simply rebadged. I never was around any of these various mahines, but I guess they were as good as any being offered by US builders, repair parts support was the big issue. With the high cost of new machines, there's more of old school farming operations keeping running these older machines. It's the only way we can still afford to stay in business! You'd think some builder of smaller machines would get smart and market some of these older , low tech designs for us at an affordable price. Most farmers in the world market surely don't need to have these new monster machines that cost well into the better part of a Million us dollars!
