In Mac’s 79, he might look at putting the HF2A tcase from an 80/100 in. I don’t believe you can get crawler gears or any gears for the HF1A that comes in v8 79’s. You can though for the HF2A which you can also convert to part time. With the HF2A he has options for under/overdrive and crawler gears. This would give him many more gear options while still keeping the diff gears for hwy cruising. Or if that 8spd auto is a GM, put an Atlas tcase behind it!

@cooper1858Ай бұрын
Matt kinsela is a very good driver remember that
@keqrouАй бұрын
IFS seperates good drivers from great drivers. I got a prado 120 on 34s, 3.5 inch lift with 6 inch rear shocks and my rear end does flex like crazy but even with UCAs upfront my IFS still flexes like a dog. Im not extremely experienced as ive litterally had my licence for a month now but ive been wheeling for a long time now and i lack some things but line choice has always been my strong suit. I can do almost everything my SA mates can do and then on the drivr home i can take corners twice as fast as thme and be in more comfort. SA is great, you dont have to be as careful, easier to work on, cheaper to lift etc. But it has its compromises. Just like IFs does. Good wheel placement and a spotter gets you up anything. Biggest problem with IFS for me has been binding CVs and just in geenral how much has to be upgraded when you lift it.
@macprestonАй бұрын
You and i both haha although my giveaway n80 and ranger i use to drive everything at glassy!

Someone needs to do a deep dive and show why a 79 is so much more tippy than a gq no matter how much you spend on them. Superior should do up 2 rolling chassis and compare them on camera with an engineer explaining it. If done correctly, it would change the whole industry. Wait. let me buy my gq before you shoot the prices up fellas!
@TJANDMACАй бұрын
Haha well yes you are onto it The spring placement and the height of the body and track width are all better on the patrols generally 😅
