Straight tail 172 is such a great plane for that, so much fun just playing in the pattern! Good job Jay!

I loved his comment about F70s god awful AWOS remarks they refuse to got rid of lol. I think the same thing every time haha
@alexandercoats11 ай бұрын
Hahaha I used to fly out of F70 as an instructor and we got complaints constantly for just flying standard patterns in a 172

I really enjoy these short daily videos, wish we could fly every day up here in the northeast.

Next time Jay needs to add airspeed at touchdown as a judging criteria. Maybe it's the camera but it looked like his spot landing had a higher AOA than yours. Spot landings are easy if you don't care about putting it down with extra speed. 😉 I love that he's challenging himself by challenging you, it seems like a great way to get skills up! And fun!

Haha he’s going to be better than me in no time. More raw talent and that crazy work ethic

Excellent to see this. Jay is doing well and working on getting better. You remind me of my brother. He made the same razzing comments like "Look at that center line". A nice way to push a student to demand more of themselves and get better without pressuring them.

Haha I’ve found that’s the best way to keep them motivated but not discourage them with the criticism.

He’s a really solid pilot. I have no doubt in my mind he will be better than me at landing the 172 soon

It’s mainly all I do in the cub when I fly it. There’s something calming about doing some bounces late in the afternoon
