Wow I grew up in Virginia Beach right near the Norfolk Airport. I have lived in the DC area I still so miss Norfolk. Can't wait until I retire and I can come back home to Hampton Roads.

I used to go here often when my parent own a home at Virginia beach and we would go out to norfork to shop and hang out near that mall that was located right on the water. It was a nice place, then And i'm sure its nice now.... Is the scope still up downtown? the building that looked like a spider.

I'm planning to move to Norkfolk VA next year, hopefully get a job computer-programming related. I'm 27 years old and i'm wondering if Norkfolk (the Chesapeake area specifically) is a nice place to live for people my age, i mean it has good night life, also if it's safe at night? based on reading the comments here there mixed opinions...I don't plan to be roaming the streets at all hours of the night or anything but if I come out of a club or restaurant do I need to sprint to my car?

The worst landings for me have been flying into Norfolk-the plane bangs into the tarmac-hard. T-storms or no t-storms. Very odd.
