This is a great video that captures the landing and takeoff of a state-of-the-art helicopter up close and personal against a pleasantly clear sky. I see that some of the Bell 429s are equipped with wheels. I was surprised because I had only seen the skid-equipped version.👍👍👍👏👏👏

At first glance, I thought it was a 222 until I heard it. It's the 429WLG. The gear is retractable and is controlled by electrical cockpit actuation and braking system. Sweet ride...

@@RioHeliSpotter That's a tough one. The 222 has iconic status, and that it was the fictional Airwolf the 429 will remain in obscurity to the masses. The 429 has had 30 occurrences since 2007, and 21 fatalities, which is unfortunate as compared to say, the MD 902, which has had 23 occurrences since 1998 with 3 fatalities (collision with a ship while lowering a harbor pilot in Shanghai China in 2005). I served 25 years as a Black Hawk pilot U.S. Army. Since 1978, there have been 408 occurrences with the UH-60, which includes combat...
