Hi Avisekh! Amazing Blog. We are planning to visit Iceland and have rented KIA sorrento 4X4. Would it be possible to go to Landmannalaugar in March end considering the river crossing and road conditions?

Hi Shashank, Thank you. Glad that you liked it. 🙏 Normally the F roads open from June till end of September. Now things are changing with the global warming. So you need to check when you are there. But it is very unlikely that you will be able to get there end of March as the road will be covered with loads of snow. If you really want to get there end March; your only chance is with the adventure tours who sometimes go to the region with super trucks. But could be very expensive. And the main attraction of this region is its colorful landscape; which will not be available end March as everything will be white. If you ask me; I wouldn’t recommend Landmannalaugar as an option end March. There are plenty of things to see around the ring road and you would be better off exploring those! Enjoy your visit to Iceland. It is truly an amazing place…
