I saw this as a young teen in the theater and when I watched it again all these years later it was even better than I remembered and I agree this line is probably the most important line ever spoken on film under the word of God of course but I agree with you this is to me one of the greatest scenes in any Hollywood movie ever

Brian put Tracie in her place. He did with poise, style and grace. I just love how he respected her and did not have to hit her. I am glad he kept his heart opened for her to come back. She had to finally her realize her self-worth. No one was going to authentically love her the way Brian did. I am glad Christan Lando let her go, otherwise Tracie would have been miserable. Who truly wants to be owned like an inanimate object?

She really fell in this scene. You can see it on Billy Dee's face, as he almost lost it with the acting. A look of concern covers his face when she falls to the floor at 2:49. But as a professional, he knew not to break character. To bad the camera did not catch, but it was already positioned at a certain angle.
