lando is much more open and free when there's an actual interviewer interviewing him - he's open, funny and very self-deprecating. he's also a typical brit and will take the piss out of other people for banter's sake. :D thank you for checking him out! definitely look at carlos and lando together tho - they're known as the best bromance in f1 and they used to be teammates in 2019 and 2020.

if you want to really see him in his element and be him true self, have a look at his covid-times twitch streams. He was one of the ppl who got me trough the pandemic with his hillarious streams, the reason he is comfortable Infront of the cam is because he is very well known twitch streamer with a huge fanbase and audience. give it a peek ;)

I think you’ll find with Lando that he’s an extreme realist, he does use a lot of self deprecating humour/sarcasm and is extremely humble. Often so much when he talks about racing that journalists tell him to be more positive in interviews😂

The video was a pretty non-standard video for Lando in that it was mostly an ad placement piece. He did the best he could to get through it but you really never saw him in his normal element. Imagine a room full of hungry cats with someone just outside the door opening a can of cat food and you'll understand Lando better.

Like others already mentioned, Lando's got plenty of personality when not doing a video purely for PR. I'm very curious what you think of his dynamic with Carlos. If you ever want to do a video on them, I really recommend the McLaren Milk Challenge video they did on Sky Sports and the live stream they did from their driver's room when an F1 session was cancelled (uploaded on youtube as "Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz. stream from Nürburgring FP2"). I feel like those really encapsulate their relationship and personalities.

6:35 - As a teen I started my first job in a callcenter. When we got trained, the first thing we were told is: Gesticulate while on the phone. Even if the other person doesn't see it, it influences the charisma in our voice. Similar principle here. Except that he is talking to an inanimate object aka a camera.

I think this was a bit more structured because it was a promo video for sponsors. As a lot of other posters mentioned check out Lando and Carlos Sainz (Carlando), especially their milk and McLaren car challenge from Sky Sports. It's also on KZbin. They are definitely one of the best partnerships ever in F1, and I've been watching the sport many decades.

This video was more meant as promo for his sponsors than him being open, hence why he's pretty concious about what he says here. It's basically him trying to act casual but still try and promote stuff like his and his sponsors' brands (Richard Mille, McLaren, and Quadrant for example). You can actually see him being more open in proper "face to face" interviews or when he interacts with other people. The videos posted on McLaren's KZbin channel also show his true personality. He is very humble, but occasionally makes sarcastic jokes (without losing humility) when talking about something bad that happened to him (like crashing out of a race for example).

Agreed, it's a very strange choice of video. That's something I noticed in the other videos as well: there are often much nicer and representative videos out there. It is a nice series, but maybe Max should invest a few more hours watching videos of his subjects before chosing one to review, instead of the one that pops up first at a search.

you should really check out the twitch quartet quiz from sky sports, it's a long video but it shows his personality a lot more, and you can see him interacting with george russel, alex albon and charles leclerc, they are really good friends and used to stream on twitch a lot during quarantine

Yeah, I'm echoing what others have said: this was not good video to be chosen of Lando. When I first watched that, I was like why is this pure add. So I understand you couldn't know either. This is like zero personality video from him. Lando seems very nice guy with a bit of walls up always in videos. But that's normal because he is totally part of social media generation and knows the good and bad of it from young age.

I hated this interview. Was more about advertising than it was about him. Lando seems to be a fun guy, but this was an interview he probably was forced to do, or at least it seems like it.

this was definitely not a good video to watch. highly recommend some of the carlos sainz and lando norris challenges, like the milk one or the italian food one lol. you can for sure see personality in those. this one...not at all

No offence but this choice of video is absolutely terrible. The best is when he is getting interviewed both pre and post race interviews from SKY F1 themselves. Generally speaking, for none Brits and European or those not exposed to the way of speech interns of banter and sarcasm, Lando comes across as a bit arrogant, big headed and cocky but for Brits he’s just funny, sarcastic and normal. Not everyone thinks this though!!! Some extra info: He loves golf, very good friends with Ferraris Carlos Seinz and he’s also a twitch streamer. Please react to a different video if you want to see the “PROPER” Lando. “It’s Friday then, Saturday, Sunday WHAT!?” “It’s broken, it’s broken!”

Lando use to be more open but I guess with him growing up and the hate he got for not being serious enough or not taking the sport serious enough probably closed him up a bit plus he gets alot of hate in general even just abt him having a girlfriend (not anymore🥲) but yeah
