This Landom really loved her he.married her even knowing she was terminally ill. What kind of man does that? In the final chapter in the book it says that Landon after40 yrs after marrying Jamie at 57 yrs old still was in love.with jamie and never removed his.wedding ring. He was asked why he married her knowing she was terminally ill he said that even if she was not ill he would of married her anyways and that he listened to his heart and God's voice he sacrificed himself for the girl he loved so much.
