Just found this a couple days ago and haven't come across another song with the same kind of an impact in a long time.. This type of music isn't generally my thing and i tend to lean torwards blues and classic rock, or artists like Jimi Hendrix or Pink floyd to get my sonic fix, but this really grabbed my attention. Yes, i heard it while watching the motion picture Shrek, but really noticed it as the end credits were rolling and i was already doing something else. As the song started playing i just stopped what i was doing and started to listen and thought; What is that? It sounds amazing! Had to check what it was and now i'm here telling you of my experience :D This piece of music is a timeless classic. The athmosphere is phenomenal and your voices compliment each other brilliantly. I love how the lyrics in the chorus bring out the melody's intonation and emotion. Truly an awesome song!

That's eerily similar to my first time hearing this as well. I was watching Shrek 4 with my daughter and I missed the end. So I watched it the next morning, and was really impressed with this song. I was carrying something into the kitchen when I realized how lovely this song actually was. So I looked it up and here I am. As far as other artists you mentioned, I'm in total agreement with that as well. The Wall is a very dear personal album to my heart. It's nice to have such similar experiences and views as someone whom you've never met.

Amazing song though brings back painful memories. I heard it 4 years or so ago and it was one of the songs I learned on the guitar to play for my ex, it was one of "our" songs. Now it just hurts :( God damn 4 years of my life with someone and there wasn't a single day my love wained or withered, not a single day I felt even a moment of doubt about her being the one. The only thing that hurt me more than losing her was the first day I woke up and realized the feelings I had for her were gone, that the love I felt had finally faded to nothing, and that from that point on what we had will just be a memory. I want to be grateful we had the time together that we did but... What she put me through left a mark that may never go away. I didn't deserve it, I wasn't perfect but at least I kept my promise to never leave or give up. Taking advantage of me because you knew that made you a monster.
