Sorry for my basic photoshop question, wand with marquee tool don't work for tree and concrete overlaping steps for me, I have the same screen settings, does it affect having 2020 version? Thanks.

@@LandSpaceArchitecture Yes. That method didn't work for me, for some reason that remove the entire ground layer. Later I was able to select only the overlapped part and remove it with eraser tool. Thanks a lot.

I am having a problem with using the marquee tool and magic wand. I am not able to isolate the section for water. I am only able to click outside of the would-be pond, which tells me I "Selected no pixel".

@@charles5733 yes, but if you layer is rasterized, you can't use lassor tool directly, you can use layer mask instead

Move the cursor on the texture layer, and hold ALT then you can see the small arrow then left click, the top layer would apply to the bottom layer
