Adam… I purchased a transformer with a photo cell, but don’t want to place it outside. Can I run the transformer on an Alexa smart plug and create a routine?

I think a combination would be very nice. I have seen a timer from VOLT that has several functions, OFF (always off), ON (always on), DAWN TO DUSK (lights stay on when dark based on photo sensor only), or 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 HOURS (photocell turns on then lights stay on for the amount of time selected).

Great videos bro. I watched your videos before I installed my landscaping lights 2 weeks ago. I bought landscaping lights kit from Costco which has 150 watt mini transformer which has built in photocell and transformer. I am encountering an issue that transformer getting tripped after couple of hours in dawn to desk setting. If I turned the timer to ON, then no tripping. Any tip will be apprenticed?

Thanks question can one use both at the same time. Example photo cell turns on but timmer will turn off.

From my experience the photocell usually overrides the timer. People sometimes use both, but I have always installed either not both.

Best is both timer turns on the power and off at a set time , photocell works with sun., .. Best option in my opinion.
