I took up oil painting 4 years ago, self taught watching a few videos. I found my style of painting and was happy learning from my mistakes, but then 18 months ago my world came crashing down around me. I lost both my daughters and my 4 grandchildren to a drunk driver. I stopped painting, I just did not have it in me to pick up a brush, then about 6 days ago I came across one of your videos, I just sat.... watched and listened to your video about 3 times ...now I am painting again and feeling my love of oils come back. It felt so good to paint again that I sign my paintings Old Man ( which was a family joke from my daughters) Thank you Justin for making videos of your paintings on KZbin without them I would have never painted again. Your one of the blessed, thank you again .

I am so sorry for your loss. This is the most powerful comment I have ever received on here. I can’t thank you enough for sharing this. I can’t imagine how hard this has been for you. To come across my videos and be able to pick up a brush again brings me to tears after hearing this. Thank you and may god bless you.

@@PaintingsbyJustin Thank you for being here, but not just for what your videos have done for me, but for all those who have been inspired by watching your videos. I had to smile to myself after watching a video it was the one when you said you need to make a script for your ending of a video. Don't...being you is what makes you and your videos special, it is far better being yourself than reading from a autocue. Its your openness and your passion for painting and sharing that passion we all love to see, never change my friend....you are in your place in life where once you were down and feeling alone, but your not now...your family has grown to over 25,000...and we care. God bless you, your family and your bigger family.

Hi, Justin, love watching your videos. They are so inspiring. Your paintings are so beautiful. I took up painting about 1 year ago and still learning. Have done couple paintings and every time I finish one painting, my family members already claiming them and hanging in their homes. Painting is so much fun. There are times that I will stop whenever there is a family crisis but I get right back to it after a couple days.

Good morning Justin, beautiful painting, thanks for making us another video to watch and learn. I would love 2 hour videos. If I'm not painting, I'm watching other artists paint because I want to learn all I can. I watch pretty much 4 different artists and learn valuable information from all 4. I really love your technique and your videos. You explain things we need to know. I have been in that dark place and I think it really makes me relate and connect with you. Been there, done that and I admire you that you were able to rise up and get control over it. I don't know what caused your depression, don't need to know, but I know what it's like. Sorry, I do like to talk. Or ramble, as you like to say, lol. Keep painting, keep being happy, keep sharing your talent with us. I would love 2 hour videos. Best of luck in you're new venture. Oh, and I can only imagine what an awesome amazing thrill it was to meet Dana and Steve. Man, that would be fun. If I ever get the chance I would love to take the class and meet them, and you too. I believe we would hit it off fine. Boy this has got long, lol, but love what you're doing, stay happy, be blessed, keep painting and God bless you and your family in all you do. Thanks again for the encouragement you give me and others.....Rooster ✌🏼❤🎨

I was wondering if you’ve been using the Golden Open acrylics at all. I bought a small landscape set after watching your video. I’ve done a wet on wet sky that turned out great and I’m going to do a muddled background tomorrow. I noticed that if you wet it the next day, you can still move it around. Hope you do a video using it. You can mix them with regular heavy body acrylics too.

For my understanding of other shows like yours of painting between one to two hours people will stay on but from what i heard over the 2 hours you might lost some view after two hours. But their is an audience for it too so mix them and you will see. If people are really captivated by what you do i am sure they are going to whatch no matter what

I love the longer videos because you can take your time and explain the painting procedure. I hate the fast video's you learn nothing from them. It is a waste of precious time. It is also a time to be relaxed and if we want to paint along with you we can. Cannot do that very well when your rushing. God Bless.

I love to watch painting shows, especially Bob Ross. I found you by accident when I was looking for painting videos. I'm glad I found you. Your work is great! To answer your question about the length, I suggest 30 minutes or so, if you can. I get too sleepy when they are any longer. I tend to watch TV just before bedtime and watching paintings being created relaxes me. Good luck with the Gallery.
