It's fascinating to watch you paint with split brush, the technique that I've never learn. What a great work, thank you for sharing.

Once your seal touches your picture, the picture is complete and with it a new wonder appears in this world.

Henry, this is really beautiful. And it's great to see the whole process of layering the color. I particularly like the sky and background impressionistic washes--lovely light. Yes, the SW landscape is so unique and as you said, so different than the wet, green northwest, and other places, which are beautiful in a very different way.

I know some watercolor seems much brighter in color than most Chinese Traditional Paintings as i know, and hope to learn how to draw brighter color in Landscape paintings. Thanks

This technique is closer to the Chinese watercolor than to the sumi and Japanese ..... no? I would like then, to know your opinion about the differences between one and the other, related to the landscape ... thank you!

Hi, Henry, thanks for the wonderful video. I like to paint the landscape, but I like some happy and bright color (like this - yourshot. nationalgeographic. /photos/1706493/), and most Chinese seems dark/gray and not bright enough. I tried to add some white color but still not very good. Any suggestion? Thanks
