Great video! I would love to see a recap video at the end of each year. The year in review was really fun and brought back memories of not just watching your other videos but also how the seasons seasons change, along with your facial hair. 😂 Also, what a year of incredible photography! Shaun, the first image...first shot is my favorite. So simple yet complex with all the little reeds sticking out. I also like the tree and the reflection....black and white is perfect. I would not remove any of the little trees to the left and right. They add to the pic. I knew it....... I knew what would be your last and best pic..... It is also my favorite of all time (maybe).... You really, really got the perfect moment. It should have gotten first prize in the contest...any contest. You had a great year and took some supurb shots....and we all appreciate you taking us along on your photo adventures. Look forward to more in 2024. And, please take care and be safe..... Hokkaido is having a tough time this year weather wise. P.S. What camera did you use to video this?

With the pillowy mounds shot, I keep flipping back and forth with my fav one. I think I’m back at liking the first shot again! Thanks for your wonderful support throughout the year. I’m a bit bashful with your praise, but it makes me puff my chest up a bit. 😂 I used the M50 ii or the kiss M2 here in Japan. It’s the main vlogging camera I use in the field as well.

I come to photography from a cinematic POV, having made several short films. I appreciate the nod to the video side. Cheers!! I want to shoot a lot more this year. I will focus on composition, particularly leading lines. I also want to improve my editing, particularly color grading. But mainly, I will focus on my mindset, positively supporting myself, and pushing myself beyond my comfort zone.

As I watched, I was ah, that’s my favourite- till I saw the next one and the next… The cranes are of course magnificent and congratulations 👏 however, as a lover of ICM, it gets my vote. There is so much “chance” with ICM, despite a bit of planning, I feel success when it occurs is a gift from the unseen.
