Max Payne 3 NY Minute Chapter 5-2

Hey, Just a quick question. When you're shooting the first two boats, one veers into the other. You get a good time bonus there, about 10 seconds. When I try, I'm lucky to get any time at all. Is there a little trick to that? Thanks.
