Mafex all the way. They nailed the helmet. The only beef with it is it’s fragile. A shelf dive can easily snap the rocket or something else. Hasbro would be a good alternative for the $ but needs weathering and a dull coat. That SH is one of their worst SW figs imo.

The mafex looks really good but I prefer the black series mainly because I prefer the accsesories he comes with. And with some weathering the black series boba really shines imo

1 area that the SHF Bobas seem to have badly messed up on is the proportions of the rifle. The buttstock is so long that Boba can't shoulder it.

They are all nice, but honestly I prefer the Black Series Boba. He looks the best, has a bit of substance. I know that the original Boba in the movies was rather skinny, but this one is more believable as we nowadays know what he develops into - a rather compact, built and ripped guy (well, just like his dad). I also prefer the slighty sandy undertone of his flightsuit to the pure grey of the other two.

I have all three, and currently I am using the Mafex Boba for my main Star Wars display, but I have a shelf of miscellaneous figures and I think the more cartoony look of the SH Figuarts Boba works well there. I have him next to Lupin III and Link from the Legend of Zelda and he blends right in.

The point is they dont cost the same amount, the other two are like 3x the price of the black series and if your giving them a max price of $70 then you can buy the black series a new cape and paint to dirty him up all for about $55 which is still less then the other two. Obviously price isnt a factor for you but if anyone was watching this video to see which one the should buy they should know that the black series is a cheaper option and all your gonna really miss out on is some extra hands you will never use and gain extra fire effects you might use because they are bad ass

True but I did end up buying the mafex version for around $45 around 3 years ago before the re-release so going by the original msrp, mafex definitely wins

The pants on the mafex are more of slim fit and I would say the jumpsuit is too dark but the detail and sculpt is really impressive. I got the empire strikes back when it originally released and its still one my favorite figures on my shelf, there's a lot of subtly you can get posing it.

The Mafex is still my favorite. Hands down. I always found the figuarts helmet too small. One of the few I gave a miss. I do also have the Black Series, but my Mafex is my fav.

Mafex for the win, no question about it. I have the Mafex and Hasbro, had zero interest in Figuarts as it just didnt look good (which is odd, I usually LOVE Figuarts but the ROJ Boba and Mando’s are just not very well proportioned). Although most of my favorite figures are Figuarts (especially for giving us excellent figures that Hasbro screwed all to hades like R2, IG11, etc), Mafex absolutely wins for Boba Fett from the OT, and Mando from Season 2. In general, Mafex rocks for helmeted figures, Figuarts rocks for human likenesses and Droids, and Hasbro does pretty good on Aliens. What is annoying is that Hasbro *can* knock it out of the park if they only try (which I assume means assign the sculptors who do the best figures and stop using the ones who cant get likenesses, proportions and scale even close!). Some Hasbro figures are nearly as good as Figuarts for a fraction of the price! Mace Windu, Phantom Menace Obi Wan, Qui Gon (new likeness), those are almost equal to the Figuarts if not better, Count Dooku is better than Figuarts IMO! But then you see figures that are inexcusably bad like R2 and thus every Astromech Hasbro does is the wrong scale, wrong proportions, etc where Figuarts R2 is a work of art and looks like a miniature move droid! Similarly, IG-11 is just awful from Hasbro, and tiny, underscaled, lame and floppy mess whereas Figuarts IG-11 is AMAZING! Mafex was supposed to an IG-11 which Ive had on preorder over a year. Dang, didnt mean to go on and on!

Yeah Mafex for the win with that character, Hasbro did a pretty good work on it, have to give them credit for that, but the Mafex, just looks like is out from the movie, im waiting for mine, my seller just told me today that provider is sending this days.

The huge issue with the BS is the knee hinge is too low on the leg. The more you bend the legs, the weirder it looks, because the bend point happens on the upper calf, rather that where the knee actually is. It really limits the action poses. Unfortunately they did the same thing on the deathwatch mando. I do not know how they keep making that mistake. They did just fine on Bo and Koska's knee joints. It's a huge showstopper for me with the BS Fett. I might even have chosen the BS if it weren't for that huge design and engineering mistake.

I’ve owned all three. I actually returned the Figuarts though. It frustrated me. Posing and even just standing him normal was a pain, pieces would fall off and he’s definitely undersized. Almost petite like a female figure. He’s also too clean and looks like he’s wearing sweat pants. Even though the BS figure is really good, the Mafex goes above and beyond with paint and detail. It’s the definitive 6” Boba Fett. I don’t think it’ll ever be topped.

Honestly black series for the colors the undersuit is more accurate to the movie I prefer the helmet on the mafex but you can fix that with a hair dryer BUTTTT mafex empire strikes back boba top tier😂😂😂

Mafex is still KING for Boba. Most screen accurate with not only the helmet & res of the armor, but the physique of the Jeremy Bulloch, who did have skinny legs. The black series look like a stalkier cosplayer of the Mafex. 😆 I do appreciate the playability of the hasbro though. Thanks for another great vid.

I think the Black Series has better body proportions, the SHF has the most accurate EE3 rifle & Mafex has the best helmet. There's one issue that people tend to overlook & it relates to Temuera Morrison's height where he's shorter than Jeremy Bulloch in the OG so if we're going with the PT scale & canon the SHF is accurate when it comes to height.
