Dude, all your videos are so fun to watch. Watching you skate the closest thing I’ve found to satisfy my desire to skate when I can’t (Winter, bad weather, etc.). Thanks for all your content!

Sick channel ! My wife is from Nairobi and I recognized it in your other vids. I’m a surfer and got into surf skating , super cool to see your style in urban landscapes. Ever tried surf skates like SmoothStar or carver? Crazy you’re skating around Kilimani, that area is hectic ha , I’d be scared to try that

Thank you for the show. I would still like to see a close up of the “slightly flipped” Supremes and I’ d like to know if you’ve got extra break soles on your shoes. I’ve so far one very light pair on almost worn out canvas slippers I could imagine putting such soles on but don’t know if these shoes are already too light for them to work. Also glad for your opinion of the 150s Paris being too wide fir the deck. Do the 130 Bears also remove the flex from the Ripper deck? I still have the 155 Polar Bears on and I do appreciate the ride stability for I can ride on the grass beside the road for stopping which I would imagine more sketchy on RKPs. And I do enjoy the flex of the deck with the wider distance of the TKPs so far. Keep it coming!

Man these vids are amazing! It's really nice to get some insights into what it's like skating in a different continent. Keep it up mate! I'm gonna get a ripper because of these vids, but probably in the standard configuration. So, you have tried a couple different setups now with this deck. Do you like the setup with the 50/40° angle RKP trucks from the other video the most regarding the balance between stabilityand maneuvrability? I dont have much experience so I dont know how intuitive it feels like to ride such a setup.

I settled on 50/40l, but with teh back dwedged to 50/35. Super fun

This looked like so much fun and your camera setup is so cool! I’m still figuring out places to skate where I feel comfortable (usually with less traffic), but I’ve been at it for a whole year now and I was excited to realize that. I was considering getting a Ripper but then the Big Dipper came out and I managed to get it during the Landyachtz moving sale! It’s my favorite to skate at the moment. So so fun. (Also, thank you for including nonbinary friends in your intro! I’m always pleasantly surprised when people go out of their way to include people like me since it doesn’t happen very often.)

I think I just had an insta360 on this day. The more yo skate the more comfortable you'll get. I'm glad you're enjoying the big dipper as well, I wish I got a chance to try it, it looks good. And ofcourse! I love including everyone as best as I can. Skating is for everyone :)

Hi. A question , does the dodger is very différent from the riper. Does it worth it ? Or its a better idea to have 2 boards for the price of the dodger

I talked to Ricker, and he said he is working on some new and updated Paris Savants. They are currently making them now and he’s not sure when they will be released tho. Just thought I share the news! So stoked to try them out

that sounds sick! Can't wait to see what they cook up

@@LongboardingExplained Yeah me too! The Savants are epic as fuck. My favorite trucks I own at the moment. I want to get some Aera trucks in the future to compare the feel of them but can’t go wrong with the performance and durability of the Savants. I also love how affordable they are! I’m curious to see their design and which colors they decide to come out with! And I can’t thank you enough for your tutorials, seriously helped me get into a new sport and embrace the art of drifting. Thanks Abuga! Peace from Madison, Wisconsin!

Hey mate, 1st - really nice video, I'm a beginner and I'm about to buy the LY Ripper for myself after viewing whole ripper video series of yours. 2nd - I want to set it up as well with RKP trucks and will use some 70mm wheels, I wonder would you recommend rather going with 130mm RKP bear trucks or 150mm RKP paris v2 trucks? would the difference between these 2 be noticable? thank you in advance!
@AroniDeliquint10 ай бұрын
Henlo, hope this isn't too late. I think Bear 130mm is the choice to go with 50/40 with the back dewedged even more

Hope that someone can help me. I’m looking for something mainly to cruise (Mexico streets, patches and potholes everywhere) but I also would like something that I can learn to slide on and maybe hit some mellow hills without having to foot brake. I am considering the new schooner, the ripper or the rally cat, all from landyachtz. Any thoughts??

I thought you mentioned 130mm trucks, but wondering what exactly you ended up on for this setup?
@LongboardingExplained2 жыл бұрын
at this moment I am running 130mm 50/35* Bear Gen 6 trucks (with a 5 degree dewdge in the back). 78/85a plug barrel in front w/ tiny flat washers rs/basic flat wash bs. 93a/93 plug barrel in the rear cupepd washer rs/basic flat washer bs

What’s that stopping system you mentioned for the trucks?
@LowellLGraves2 жыл бұрын
It's the plug that extends the bushing and gives it *some* return to center. Comes stock on the caliber 3's. If you look on his site or maybe the caliber 3 video you can see about doing it with bear Gen 6 trucks too by sanding down the plug to make it fit.
@LongboardingExplained2 жыл бұрын
what Lowell said basically. Other slop stopping systems can be seen on trucks like the Rogue precisions, Valkyrie slaloms, Ronin trucks. Some trucks that don't have slop inherrently are the ROjas trucks
